Five UCF Business Incubation Program Companies among 35 Tech Firms Invited to Participate in TechVenture 2009 Conference Nov. 16

ORLANDO, Fla. (Oct. 31, 2009) >  — Five University of Central Florida Business Incubation Program companies are among 35 outstanding new technology firms that have been invited to make formal presentations to investors and corporate CEOs during the Techventure 2009 Conference Nov. 16 at the Hyatt Regency conference center in Tampa.

Dr. Tom O‘Neal, founder and executive director of the UCF Business Incubation Program, said the Techventure 2009 Conference includes venture capitalists, angel investors, corporate buyers, economic development agencies, technology transfer professionals, university researchers, incubators, successful entrepreneurs and premier service providers from throughout the southeast.

UCF Business Incubation Program companies invited to participate include Advanced Technologies, Inc. (ATI), which develops military and government software; Datanautix, Inc., which develops innovative analytical tools and data for call centers worldwide; ERP Consulting Exchange, an online community of professionals who consult with companies that use enterprise resource planning software; Eginity, the sensor networks company that developed the EON Platform, the first cost-effective, rapidly deployable sensor network technology on the market; and Plainvue Software, Inc., which develops online games to help late elementary and middle school students develop their math skills.

Based on our performance at the Right-Hand Partners Visibility Conference, Eginity has been invited to attend Entrepreneur Funding Boot Camp at the law offices of Hanson Bridgett in San Francisco, CA on November 6, 2009.  The event is produced and sponsored by Verge Innovation Group, which provides strategic growth plan development, resource acquisition and management, and capital raising strategies for emerging, high-opportunity companies.  Keiretsu Forum San Francisco/North Bay, the world’s largest angel investment network with over 750 accredited investor members on three continents, is hosting the event.  Keiretsu Forum members provide early-stage capital in the range of $250-$2 million to high quality, diverse investment opportunities and collaborate in the due diligence, but make their own individual investment decisions.

Eginity has been invited to present at the Right-Hand Partners Visibility Conference on October 30, 2009 in Mountain View, CA.  The conference is focused on IT companies and will consist of 10 or more Investors and up to 10 Startups, giving us an auspicious opportunity to champion our company and technology to an intimate group of investors during our presentation as well as additional networking opportunities.  We will also be receiving valuable feedback and questions from the attending venture capitalists during the six hour event.

Eginity has secured $100,000 in escrow funds from two separate angel investors.  This is a big step toward our goal and we are hopeful to secure long term funding this fall.  Once funded, we will move forward on completing our product development, kick starting our sales and marketing initiatives and patenting our proprietary intellectual property.

Eginity has held meetings with and been invited to present for the following investment groups over the coming months:

• Catapult Capital:  A group of accredited investors who provide equity capital to early-stage entrepreneurial companies located in FL; CEO, Rob Allen, presented at 8/20 meeting at Rollins College in Winter Park, FL
• Meakem Becker Venture Capital:  An early-stage venture capital firm which invests in a wide range of information technology and life sciences companies; Rob Allen met with team members on 8/20

Eginity has engaged William A. Grimm, Esq. of GrayRobinson, P.A. as general counsel for the company.  Mr. Grimm has been practicing law full time for more than 34 years, is an author and Professor of Practice in Entrepreneurship and Negotiation at the Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business MBA program.  He also brings with him an extensive engineering background, which has aided him in providing general counsel for many high tech companies in the Central Florida area.  We are honored that Mr. Grimm has taken on Eginity as one of his clients and look forward to a long, rewarding future with GrayRobinson, P.A.
